Artistic Director

The company draws upon the experience of its founding Artistic Director, Jane McKell and her work with memory projects in theatre, education, the community, and on both commercial and BBC radio.

Jane set up AsOne Theatre Productions in 2003 to employ Dorset based professional theatre practitioners and shake hands with the community.

Business Investment, sponsorship and awards

After four years of touring and workshops AsOne is raising its head above the parapet; audiences and reviewers have loved the company from the start but after some hard work: several business proposals and applications for investment and awards - AsOne is on its way!

This is a new era for AsOne Theatre, a non-profit making professional theatre company, with the governance of four voluntary directors, the company is about to embark upon some wonderful community and educational based projects throughout Wessex.

Hey Baby! a look at the journey of pregnancy through the eyes of mum: 'pram-face' to 'last chance' and an imaginative look giving Baby a voice. The play is being written by Nell Denton, a talented writer from Purbeck's Corfe Castle, using the research from AsOne Theatre's collaboration with Mum's using the services of Surestart's Outlook's Children's Centre on Portland near Weymouth in Dorset,

To achieve this work within, and tour out of, the community AsOne needs Captains of Industry to invest in and trumpet it's excellence in return for lots of benefits ranging from profiling and corporate entertainment to staff rewards and in-house workshops.

www.curvesweymouth.com Franchisees of Weymouth, Dorchester, Wimborne, Ferndown, Salisbury and Exmouth invested rising £2000 in AsOne Theatre’s Lets Do It! 2007 autumn tour. It is very much hoped this partnership will continue with the encouragement of Arts and Business SW who awarded AsOne £1000 from their 'Strike A Match scheme'.

Arts and Business New Partners encourages business to try something new with the arts; one-off projects provide much needed cash but A & B want to see this commitment go further by encouraging wider, deeper and more ambitious partnerships generating clear benefits for all.

AsOne have joined hands with Advantage Digital Print: www.advantagedigitalprint.com who - in return for profiling of their school year books - will help us spread the word about award winning AsOne.
